Aran is an award-winning cookbook author, culinary educator, food stylist, and photographer. Born and raised in Spain's Basque Country and now based in Seattle, Aran specializes in gluten-free baking and cooking, elevating both to artistic heights. Her two most recent books—Cannelle et Vanille (2019) and Cannelle et Vanille Bakes Simple (2021)—are gorgeous and replete with grounded, satisfying recipes. The highly anticipated The Art of Gluten-Free Bread was released in September 2025. Aran is a member of ATK's first-ever group of editors in residence, a two-year program during which she develops exclusive recipes and collaborates on video, podcast, and TV episodes with the test kitchen team.
