Here are three straightforward methods for cooking rice: boiling, pilaf-style, and microwaving. While we think the pilaf method makes the best rice, boiling (as with pasta) is easy and eliminates the need for rinsing the rice; microwaving is also simple and allows you to cook your rice right in the serving bowl.

Short- and Medium-Grain White Rice
