Making Avocado Roses

Making Avocado Roses

By slicing your ripe avocado very thinly, you're able to roll it into a tight, elegant bundle. Picking apart those delicate avocado petals gives you a little avocado in every bite. Follow these instructions to make a perfect avocado rose.

Thinly slice ½ avocado and shingle slices in overlapping line with smaller ends pointing in the same direction. Starting with the larger end, roll slices inward to create a small spiral.

Continue rolling inward, using fingers to flatten down ends, and shape slices into a rose shape.

Complete spiral, using fingers to gently flatten outside edges. Use your hands or a silicone spatula to transfer the rose to your bowl.
