You don’t ever want to pour cooking oil down the drain—even just a little oil at a time will build up in your pipes, clogging them and eventually causing serious drainage issues. Instead, try this easy method for disposing of oil.
Create a quadruple-layered bag out of leftover plastic grocery bags.
Pour cooled oil into the grocery bags.
Tie up bags and throw away.
Strain the used, cool cooking oil into a container or jar to be reused. Store the strained oil in the freezer until you need to use it.
