Why This Recipe Works

To make a honey butter that was versatile enough to slather on our Blueberry Cornbread and to adorn steamed root vegetables or grilled pork chops, we started with softened butter, which was easy to just stir together with honey. A pinch of cayenne pepper and ¼ teaspoon of salt balanced the sweetness of the honey.
