Why This Recipe Works

We developed this flavored syrup by adding spices to hot syrup to impart their flavors during the time it took for the syrup to cool. When using this syrups in our recipes, we were careful to account for their specific level of sweetness, as well as their water amount (which affects a cocktail's dilution), in order to achieve perfectly balanced cocktails.
