Why This Recipe Works
Lassis are yogurt-based drinks that originated in the Punjab region of India. Mango lassis are a popular sweet lassi, combining mango and creamy yogurt. This recipe takes that flavor combination—plus a little honey and lime juice—and turns it into a refreshing popsicle. As they’re making their popsicle mixture in step 1, kids can practice keeping track of time. Let them use a clock or watch with a second hand to keep track of processing the ingredients for 15 seconds and then for 15 to 30 seconds.
