Why This Recipe Works
Ditch the packets and make a big batch of French Onion Dip Mix in just five minutes. With this make-ahead mix, kids can make a bowl of French onion dip for their next family game night, movie night, sleepover, or whenever the craving strikes! This recipe uses ingredients that have been dehydrated, or dried. That means they’ve had their water removed. Have kids smell (and taste, if they’d like) the dried onion, beef bouillon, dried parsley, and garlic powder. Then, if you have these ingredients on hand, have kids smell and/or taste a fresh version of each ingredient (fresh chopped or sliced onion, beef broth, fresh parsley leaves, fresh chopped or crushed garlic). What’s similar? What’s different?
