Homemade Italian Seasoning

Ingredients

2 ½ tablespoons dried oregano 2 ½ tablespoons dried thyme 1 tablespoon dried basil 1 tablespoon dried rosemary 1 tablespoon dried sage

Before You Begin

To achieve a finer consistency, crush the dried rosemary by hand into smaller pieces or pulse it in a spice grinder (three to four pulses).

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in bowl.

Why This Recipe Works

While you can buy Italian seasoning at the grocery store, it’s easy to make at home with dried herbs you may already have on hand. Oregano and thyme provided a Mediterranean backbone to the blend. Basil, rosemary, and sage rounded it out to make an all-in-one flavor booster.
