Episode 1: South Texas BBQ
Bryan travels to South Texas and finds it’s where smoked meats meet Mexican American traditions. He spends time with a chef who pays homage to his family with a Mexican Sunday breakfast and a pit master who fans the flames of his family’s 65-year-old restaurant and his outdoor kitchen for Mexican home cooking.
Episode 2: Beyond Beignets and Bourbon Street
Outside the French Quarter, there’s a community of chefs and cooks preserving the rich culinary history of New Orleans. Bryan meets a baker known for her crowning king cake, a corner grocer famous for his family’s po’ boys, a photographer and writer known for his red beans and rice, a hunter and fisherman who became a renowned Cajun chef, and a culinary ambassador shining a light on sweet rice fritters.
Episode 3: Coastal Massachusetts Seafood
Behind New England’s famed seafood, there are generations of farmers, fishermen, and family-run restaurants who bring the harvest of the sea to the table. In this episode, Bryan visits two pioneers in the Massachusetts seafood scene.
Episode 4: Wisconsin Cheese
Bryan travels to the great state of Wisconsin to explore all things cheese, from Gouda all the way down to Limburger. Between the food, the people, the local culture, and the variety of cuisine you find throughout the state, Wisconsin is one of Bryan’s favorite food destinations.
Episode 5: Second-Generation Chefs in Los Angeles
In the City of Angels, there’s a growing community of generational, family-run restaurants. Bryan hits the road to meet second generation chef-owners who proudly preserve their parents’ legacy while creating recipes and traditions of their very own.
Episode 6: Georgia Homecoming
Bryan spends time with two chefs who relocated from New York’s tri-state area to the coastal region of Georgia for food, family, and a commitment to the exploration and preservation of Southern foodways.
Episode 7: Oregon’s Wild Bounty
On the Oregon coast, the fruits of the sea and land are honored through rustic wood-fired feasts. Bryan meets up with local legends who believe less is more when it comes to Pacific Northwest ingredients.
Episode 8: Bi-Coastal Next-Level Sandwiches
Bryan’s on the road to meet sandwich heroes on the East and West coasts—chefs who made thousands of sandwiches during the pandemic to help make ends meet but who also fostered communities along the way.
