2 (750-ml) bottles rosé wine 4 ounces elderflower liqueur 4 ounces Simple Syrup 8 ounces pomegranate juice 2 cups mixed berries

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in serving pitcher or large container. Cover and refrigerate until flavors meld and mixture is well chilled, at least 2 hours or up to 8 hours.

Why This Recipe Works

To create a robust, winey sangria with pure flavor, we experimented with untold varieties of fruit and eventually concluded that simpler is better. For a twist on the classic, rosé was a natural pairing with mixed berries; for our liqueur, we wanted something floral and delicate, and chose elderflower.
