Why This Recipe Works
For a quick, creamy buffalo–blue cheese buttermilk dressing, we combined mayonnaise and buttermilk. The mayonnaise provided thickness while the buttermilk added a rich, distinct tang, especially when enhanced with just a squirt of lemon juice. Frank’s RedHot Original Cayenne Pepper Hot Sauce contributed a flavor reminiscent of buffalo sauce while crumbled blue cheese added texture and funk for a dressing that is equally good drizzled over greens or served as a party dip.
