Fridge Door Daiquiris

Ingredients

Simple Syrup

¾ cup sugar 5 ounces warm tap water

Fridge Door Daiquiris

12 ounces white rum 9 ounces water 4½ ounces lime juice, plus lime slices for garnishing

Before You Begin

You can store the cocktail in a 1-quart Mason jar instead of a bottle if you’d like.

Instructions

    for the simple syrup

  1.  Whisk ¾ cup sugar and 5 ounces warm tap water in bowl until sugar has dissolved. Let cool completely, about 10 minutes, before transferring to airtight container.
  2. for the fridge door daiquiris

  3. Combine 12 ounces white rum, 9 ounces water, 4½ ounces lime juice, and 4½ ounces Simple Syrup in 1-liter glass bottle. Cover and freeze until well chilled, about 2 hours. Prepare cocktails immediately or transfer to refrigerator and store for up to 1 week; return to freezer and chill for 30 minutes before preparing cocktails.
  4. Shake vigorously to recombine and aerate, then serve cocktails in chilled cocktail glasses, garnishing individual portions with lime slices.
