Ingredients: 3 ounces dry sparkling white wine, chilled; 1½ ounces limoncello; 1 ounce seltzer, chilled; ⅛ teaspoon lemon or grapefruit bitters; Lemon twist for garnishing

Why This Recipe Works

If you enjoy the celebratory ritual of sharing limoncello after a lovely meal, you'll surely also enjoy the lemony liqueur in a bubbly anytime spritz. Since limoncello is fairly sweet, we use a little less of the liqueur than we would a more bitter aperitivo like Aperol, and we balance the flavors with a dash of citrus bitters.

Before You Begin

Swap in another citrus liqueur, such as Grand Marnier to make a Grand Marnier Spritz or Italicus to make an Italicus Spritz.

Instructions

Fill chilled wineglass halfway with ice. Add sparkling wine, limoncello, seltzer, and bitters. Using bar spoon, gently lift mixture from bottom of glass to top to combine. Top with additional ice and garnish with lemon twist. Serve.
