Garlicky Croutons

Garlicky Croutons

Ingredients

3 tablespoons olive oil 1 teaspoon salt 2 cloves garlic, minced4 slices hearty white sandwich bread, cut into ½-inch cubes (about 4 cups)

Instructions

  1. Adjust oven rack to middle position and heat oven to 350 degrees. Whisk oil, garlic, and salt in large bowl. Add bread cubes and toss until coated. Spread bread on baking sheet and bake until golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes. Cool before serving.

Why This Recipe Works

For garlicky croutons that would add flavor and texture to our favorite salads, we used hearty white sandwich bread (but most any savory bread will work). Our Garlicky Croutons recipe can be made ahead and stored in an airtight container for about a week.
