Serves 6 to 8 (Makes about 2 cups)

Ginger Whipped Cream

Ingredients

1 cup heavy cream, chilled¼ cup (1¾ ounces/50 grams) sugar ¼ teaspoon ground ginger

Before You Begin

If your kitchen is particularly warm, it's helpful to chill the mixer bowl and whisk attachment in the freezer for 20 minutes before whipping the cream. We like to serve this whipped cream with our Cranberry-Ginger Apple Tart.

Instructions

  1. Using stand mixer fitted with whisk attachment, whip cream, sugar, and ground ginger on medium-low speed until foamy, about 1 minute. Increase speed to high and whip until soft peaks form, 1 to 3 minutes.
