Chinese-Style BBQ Sauce

Chinese-Style BBQ Sauce

Ingredients

1 cup ketchup 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce 1 tablespoon unseasoned rice vinegar 1 tablespoon Asian chili-garlic sauce 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh cilantro leaves 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

Before You Begin

Asian chili-garlic sauce and hoisin sauce can be found near other condiments or Chinese and Vietnamese ingredients in most supermarkets. This great-tasting, no-cook barbecue sauce can be used to baste barbecued chicken, as a condiment for grilled hamburgers, or as a finishing sauce for our Smoked Pork Loin (see related recipe).

Instructions

  1. Whisk together all ingredients in a small bowl. The sauce can be refrigerated for up to 4 days.
