Classic Red Table Salsa

Ingredients

3 very ripe tomatoes (about 2 pounds), diced small½ cup tomato juice 1 chipotle chile, minced (about 2 tablespoons)1 medium red onion, diced small1 medium clove garlic, minced½ cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves ½ cup lime juice from 4 medium limes

Before You Begin

If you cannot find chipotle peppers (dried, smoked jalapeños), you can substitute any minced, fresh chile pepper of your choice.

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients, including salt to taste, in medium bowl. Cover and refrigerate to blend flavors, at least 1 hour or up to 5 days.
