3 Golden Delicious apples, peeled, cored, halved, and cut into ¼-inch pieces¼ cup dried cranberries 1 tablespoon sugar 1 teaspoon cornstarch Pinch salt Pinch ground nutmeg
Before You Begin
Golden Delicious apples are a good year-round choice for this topping, but other seasonal varieties of apples can be used. Just make sure to choose an apple that will retain its shape when cooked.
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in bowl and microwave, covered, until apples are softened but not mushy and juices are slightly thickened, 4 to 6 minutes, stirring once halfway through microwaving. Stir before serving.
