Double Espresso Hot Fudge Sauce

Ingredients

1 cup jarred hot fudge sauce 1 teaspoon instant coffee pinch salt 2 teaspoons coffee liqueur

Instructions

  1. Microwave the hot fudge sauce, covered, in microwave-safe bowl until hot, about 1 minute. Dissolve the instant coffee and salt in the coffee liqueur and whisk it into the hot fudge.

Why This Recipe Works

A bowl of ice cream is a treat, but a sauce ladled over the ice cream makes it something special. When we don’t have time to prepare our own hot fudge recipe, we doctor store-bought hot fudge sauce by adding instant coffee, coffee liqueur, and just a dash of salt, which helps to enhance and heighten the chocolate flavor of our Double Espresso Fudge Sauce.
