Ingredients

1 cup plain whole-milk Greek yogurt ½ cup heavy cream 3 tablespoons honey

Before You Begin

Serve with Skillet Ricotta Cake with Figs or your favorite fruit dessert; it's also delicious over cut fresh fruit.

Instructions

  1. Using stand mixer fitted with whisk attachment, whip yogurt, cream, and honey on medium speed until soft peaks form, 1 to 2 minutes.

Why This Recipe Works

We were after a creamy, sweet-tart topping to complement our Skillet Ricotta Cake with Figs, and this Whipped Yogurt Topping fit the bill perfectly. Using Greek yogurt (full-fat for extra richness) ensured that the topping was thick and dollopable. The yogurt alone didn't have enough fat to whip to soft peaks, so adding some cream helped get the texture we were after. A generous amount of honey added sweetness to offset the yogurt's tang and highlighted the floral flavor of the figs in the cake.
